WOODBURY – A traffic stop on the Thruway in the Town of Woodbury
resulted in the arrest of a Bronx man on felony drug charges.
State Police stopped the vehicle at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14 and
the driver, Alexander Zapata, 26, was found in possession of over one
pound of powder cocaine.
He was charged with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance
and another count of criminal possession with intent to sell, both as
felonies.
Zapata was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and vehicle
and traffic violations.
He remanded to the Orange County Jail without bail.
