RED HOOK – The Dutchess
County Democratic Committee has voted to endorse Karen Smythe for State
Senate in the 41st District, which also includes portions of Putnam County.
The Red Hook resident was chosen to challenge incumbent Republican Susan
Serino in the fall election.
“My campaign is focused on serving Hudson Valley residents and ensuring
they receive the representation they deserve in the State Senate,”
said Smythe.
Dutchess County Legislator Joel Tyner is also seeking the Democratic Party
line in the Senate race against Serino.
