WAWARSING – A Bronx man
has been arrested by Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies following
a traffic stop on Route 209 in Wawarsing revealed he was in possession
of an electronic stun-gun, police insignia and police-related items he
was not authorized to possess.
Deiby Diaz-Pichardo, 22, was stopped for a traffic infraction when police
discovered the illegally possessed items for which he was charged with
misdemeanor criminal possession of a weapon and several traffic infractions.
He was arraigned and released on his own recognizance to appear in town
court at a later date.
The investigation is continuing and police said additional charges may
be filed.
