NYACK – A threatening
message written on a piece of paper left hanging on the wall of a bathroom
at Nyack High School Tuesday afternoon has been determined not to be a
credit threat, but Clarkstown Police are investigating it nevertheless.

School was released at the regular time at the end of the school and after-school
activities continued, but additional police units were stationed around
the school as a precaution.

Detectives were reviewing security camera footage and interviewing potential
witnesses.

The police are asking parents and guardians to talk to their children
to re-affirm the importance of how making false threats can be very dangerous
and create an uneasy atmosphere in the school.

If any of the high school students have information about the note found
on Tuesday, they are asked to call Clarkstown Police at 845-639-5800 o0r
send an anonymous tip using TIP411 on the department’s Facebook
page under “Submit a Tip.”
