TOWN OF DURHAM – Town
Police in Durham have arrested a 15-year-old boy as a juvenile delinquent
for allegedly bringing a bullet to school.

Police were called to Cairo-Durham High School on Tuesday for a report
that a 9th grade student had indicated that some other students may be
in danger and that the student was in possession of a bullet.

The school was placed on lockdown and the student was taken into custody
by police outside the school.

Had he been an adult, the charge would have been a felony of making a
terroristic threat.

The boy was issued a family court appearance ticket and released to his
parents.

State Police, with the assistance of the Cairo-Durham School District
administration, continue to investigate the matter.
