Man sentenced for attempted rape in at-risk school

WHITE PLAINS – A man convicted of attempted rape and other charges for the attempted rape of a woman at the Graham School, a residential school for disturbed youth in Hastings-on-Hudson, was sentenced in Westchester County Court on Tuesday to 3 ½ years in state prison followed by seven years of post-release supervision.
Jaheim Murray, 19, was also charged with two counts of sexual assault, two counts of strangulation and three counts of criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation in connection with an attack on November 25, 2015 at the residential education and treatment center.
Murray will have to register as a sex offender when he is released from prison.
An order of protection was issued on the victim’s behalf.
