SAUGERTIES – Police have charged three teens with throwing several trash cans into the streets in Saugerties.
Some of those trash cans were struck by a car near Blue Hill Drive. Several cans from the Barclay Heights area were knocked over or dragged by the vehicle in question.
Damage was sustained to a parked car on Blue Hills Drive after it was struck by a garbage can that was being dragged by the suspect vehicle.
Investigating officers stopped a car believed to be involved in the acts of criminal mischief and charged Brett Pitt, 18, Jakob Piratzky, 17, and a 15-year-old. The two older teens were released on appearance tickets while the 15-year-old was processed for family court.
