Wappinger man with previous convictions charged with menacing with a weapon

WAPPINGER – A Wappinger man was arrested in connection with a domestic violence case in January in which he allegedly menaced another person with a weapon.
State Police were called to a residence on Degarmo Hills Road in the Town of Wappinger on the morning of January 24 and found that Joseph Brenna III, 36, who has previous convictions, allegedly menaced the victim with a weapon.  He was charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon and misdemeanors of criminal mischief and resisting arrest.
During processing by police, Brenna continued to act in a violence manner and intentionally damages state property, police said.
Brenna was sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond.
