Former financial officer at Children’s Bible Fellowship arrested for embezzlement

CARMEL – The former chief financial officer of Children’s Bible Fellowship in the Town of Carmel has been arrested and charged with embezzling over $100,000 from the agency.
David Eldredge, 54, who now lives in Redgranite, Wisconsin, was arrested
on Monday, February 5 and charged with felony grand larceny.
State Police investigators began an investigation in July 2017 after fellowship officials discovered and reported the thefts.  The investigation revealed that during his 12-year tenure with the agency, he stole the money to pay for personnel expenses.
Eldredge was released on his own recognizance pending a future court appearance.
New York State Police were assisted by the Waushara County, Wisconsin Sheriff’s Office.
