Ulster authorities arrest three on welfare fraud charges

KINGSTON – Three people
have been arrested on welfare fraud-related charges in Ulster County.

Mireille Sawaya of Kingston was charged with felonies of welfare fraud
and four counts of offering a false instrument for filing. She allegedly
failed to report income and received $6,406 in SNAP benefits to which
she was not entitled.

Darren Post of Kingston was charged with misdemeanors of welfare fraud
and offering a false instrument for filing. He already in the Ulster County
Jail and was issued an appearance ticket to appear in local court.

Laurie Coddington on Kingston was charged with the misdemeanor of offering
a false instrument for filing after he provided investigators with a document
containing a false statement that was intended to be filed with the Department
of Social Services.
