MONTICELLO – A Fallsburg man was sentenced in Sullivan County Court on Friday to 13 years in state prison, followed by five years of post-release supervision on his conviction for two counts of burglary and one count of criminal possession of a weapon, all as felonies.
Albert Quick, 30, also known as “Skeet,” was sentenced based on convictions resulting from a joint investigation into a series of burglaries in Sullivan County between January and March 2017.  During those heists, he primarily stole jewelry, but on occasion a loaded pistol from one home from a victim who lawfully possessed it. The stolen gun was recovered by police.
Quick has previously been convicted of burglary in 2008, for which he was ultimately sentenced to a term of 1 1/3 to four years in prison, suspended by his participation in a drug treatment program operated by the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.
The sentence was imposed following Quick’s termination from drug court for his failure to comply with the terms of his participation in the program.
While he was on parole for that conviction, he was convicted of burglary in 2012, and sentenced to 3 ½ years in prison, to be followed by five years of post-release supervision. He had been released to parole supervision on that conviction in November 2016, shortly before he was again identified as a suspect in connection with this investigation in early 2017.
