Saugerties traffic stop leads to warrant arrest

SAUGERTIES – A Saugerties woman was arrested on Saturday evening, January 20 by Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies after she was stopped for at traffic infraction on Route 9W in the Village of Saugerties.
Alyssa Mayer, 27, was found to be operating a motor vehicle while her driving privileges were revoked due to a previous conviction for driving while intoxicated. Police said she also did not have a required ignition interlock device installed in her vehicle. Deputies also learned there was a warrant for her arrest by Kingston City Police for assault.
Mayer was processed on the new charges and turned over to Kingston Police.
Deputies were assisted by Saugerties Police.
