MAHOPAC – Putnam County officials are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of whoever damaged the greens at the Putnam County Golf Course on January 13.
County Executive MaryEllen Odell’s office said two individuals illegally drove ATVs on the course recently. Her office said the golf course “was able to capture video footage of the culprits riding red ATVs on the property,” but when Mid-Hudson News asked for the video, we were informed there was none since there are no video cameras on site.
Odell said the county “cannot allow individuals to misuse the golf course at the expense of the taxpayers.”
The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and Carmel Police are investigating and seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the drivers.  Anyone with information may call the sheriff’s office at 845-225-4300 or the Carmel Police at 845-628-1300.
