TOWN OF NEW WINDSOR – A Monroe man was arrested following a two-week investigation into an armed robbery at the Cumberland Farms store on Blooming Grove Turnpike in the Town of New Windsor.
On December 29, 2017, Dalton McGuiness, 19, allegedly entered the store and demanded money from the clerk. The employee refused and the robber lifted his shirt exposing what was described as the handle of a firearm sticking out of his waistband.
After a brief argument with the clerk, McGuiness fled, stealing only a soft drink.
New Windsor detectives arrested McGuinness on Friday charging him with felony robbery. He was sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or bond.
