Yonkers man charged with running down, killing teen

YONKERS – A Yonkers man is under arrest, charged with manslaughter in the death of a 16-year-old girl Wednesday morning.
Yonkers City Police allege that Joel Thompson, 22, was involved in a dispute in front of 354 Nepperhan Avenue when he intentionally drove his car on the sidewalk, striking and killing Madysen Denman, also of Yonkers.
Thompson fled but was caught within minutes on Saw Mill River Road.
