TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE –
Three suspected members or associates of The Felony Lane Gang, a Florida-based
roaming gang, were arrested on Wednesday, December 20 by Poughkeepsie
Town Police after they allegedly tried to steal money from a Hudson Valley
Federal Credit Union branch with stolen banking documents.

Police said Briante’ Kelvon Wood, 26, and Jennifer Renea Wright,
34, both of Fort Lauderdale, and Danielle Alfieri, 31, of Kenworth, New
Jersey, were arrested around 3:30 p.m. on Route 9 after their car broke
down and they ran.

The three are suspected to be involved in the gang of about 100 people
who target areas around the country where women frequent, such as gyms
and other establishments, keeping an eye out for purses left in cars in
order to break into the vehicle through a window.

They grab the purse and use the stolen banking information and driver’s
license to withdraw money from the victim’s bank while using wigs
and other disguises.

In this case, the documents were stolen from a vehicle on Wilbur Boulevard
in the City of Poughkeepsie on December 16.

The investigation is continuing and charges are pending from police agencies
in Dutchess and Orange counties. It could not immediately be learned if
these suspects were involved in an ATM skimming incident earlier this
month at the Town of Wallkill branch of the same credit union.

In the Town of Poughkeepsie incident, Wood was charged with identity theft
and grand larceny, as felonies.

Wright was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance,
identity theft and grand larceny, all as felonies.
Alfieri was charged with felony attempted grand larceny.
