Bank robber escaped with an unknown
amount of cash

POUGHKEEPSIE – Police are looking for a man who held up the M&T
Bank branch at 4 Jefferson Plaza in Poughkeepsie on Thursday afternoon.

City Police said the suspect is described as about six feet tall, medium
build and wearing a baseball hat, gray hoodie with a yellow circular pattern
on the front with the word“LIVESTRONG” in white lettering
underneath, a glove on his left hand and a scarf covering the bottom of
his face.

The man entered the bank, went up to a teller and handed the employee
a note demanding money. The teller put cash in an envelope; the suspect
took it and took the note back before fleeing going towards Jefferson
Street.

The robber got away with an unknown amount of cash.
