NEW WINDSOR – A company seeking financial incentives from the Orange County Industrial Development Agency has been turned down.
CNW Real Estate was looking for aid to build an assisted living facility
on Windsor Highway in New Windsor, but IDA Chief Operating Officer Laurie
Villasuso said the board declined.
“Throughout the process of their application going through the approval process with the IDA, they hit a number of missteps so the board voted to deny the applicant’s request for financial assistance,” she said. “The project can still move forward. It’s just that the IDA won’t be providing incentives.”
Villasuso said the project had first sought IDA aid in 2014, but underwent some company leadership changes during the ensuing years.
