KINDERHOOK – A two-car crash on Route 203 just west of Merwin Road
in the Town of Kinderhook on Wednesday claimed the life of a four-year-old
boy.

State Police said at about 2:25 p.m., a car driven by Laura Dalaudiere,
27, of Valatie with three children in the back seat, was northbound on
Route 203 when it was struck by a southbound car driven by David Scott,
56, of Ghent.

Ryan Dalaudiere, 4, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dalaudiere and two girls, ages five and 11, were transported to Albany
Medical Center in critical but stable condition, according to police.

Scott was also taken to Albany Med.

State Police were assisted by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office,
Chatham, Valatie, and Ghent fire department, Chatham and Valatie rescue
squads, Columbia County Coroner’s Office, EMS and fire coordinators,
and the State Police Troop F Collision Reconstruction unit.
