Southeast man arrested for hate crime

TOWN OF SOUTHEAST – A Putnam County man was arrested on December 6 and charged with a misdemeanor of aggravated harassment as a hate crime.
State Police from the Brewster barracks investigated and found that Jeevan Abraham, 29, of the Town of Southeast, allegedly threatened a victim because of sexual orientation.
Abraham was issued an appearance ticket returnable to town court and an order of protection from the court was requested on behalf of the victim.
