TOWN OF WALLKILL – “Security
related issues” forced the early closure of the Town of Wallkill
branch of the Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union on Route 211 last Saturday.
That is according to Lisa Morris, the credit union’s spokeswoman,
who said she could not provide any additional information since it is
an ongoing investigation.

She said law enforcement was called in and the branch is operating normally
today (Monday).
Wallkill Police Chief Robert Hertman said the incident was an unfounded
bomb threat.

Sseveral branch customers have come to the Town of Wallkill headquarters
of Troop F State Police to file complains, said State Police spokesman
Trooper Steven Nevel.
