MONTGOMERY – Police have arrested a Newburgh woman on charges that
she allegedly stole jewelry valued at over $1,000 while employed as a
house cleaner in a Town of Hamptonburgh home during this past summer.

Debby Lowe, 46, was charged with grand larceny as a felony. She pawned
some of the stolen items at an area pawn shop, police said.

In the past several months, other homes that employ cleaning services
in the towns of Warwick and Hamptonburgh were also the subjects of missing
valuables and that investigation is ongoing with police saying additional
charges are pending against Lowe. Anyone who may be a victim of similar
thefts is asked to call their local police departments.

Lowe was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Hamptonburgh Town Court.
She also has an outstanding bench warrant from the Orange County Sheriff’s
Office.
