Cortlandt man arrested after firing shotgun during confrontation

CORTLANDT – A Cortlandt man is charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon as well as misdemeanors of reckless endangerment, illegal discharge of a firearm and an unclassified environmental conservation law misdemeanor.
State Police said at around 4 p.m. on Monday, November 27, Glenn Stieglitz, 22, had a confrontation with people he knew at his residence on Kings Ferry Road in the Town of Cortlandt. During that confrontation, he obtained a shotgun from inside his home and allegedly fired one shell. No one was injured.
Stieglitz was sent to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
