New Windsor man charged with rape

NEW WINDSOR – Police in New Windsor have arrested a New Windsor
man on a charge of first-degree rape.

Javier Alexander Vilchez Salazar, 34, was arrested with assistance from
Newburgh City Police following a two-month-long investigation.

Salazar was arraigned and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of
$100,000 cash bail or bond.
