PLEASANT VALLEY – A two-car collision on Route 44 and the Taconic State Parkway in Pleasant Valley claimed the life of a Poughkeepsie man.
State Police said the crash occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 18.
Nolan Evanicki, 18, was extricated by the Pleasant Valley Fire Department but died at the scene. Police did not say if he was alone in his vehicle or if anyone else was injured.
The initial investigation indicated an eastbound vehicle on Route 44 made a left turn to enter the Taconic on-ramp in front of a westbound vehicle.
State Police were assisted on the scene by the Pleasant Valley Fire Department and Mobile Life Support Services ambulance. The investigation by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing. Anyone who may have witnessed the accident is asked to call Troop K State Police BCI at 845-677-7300.
