WASHINGTON – Congressman John Faso (R, NY-19) has not made up his mind on whether he will vote for or against a Republican tax reform plan in Congress.
Faso made his comments during a tele-town hall session Tuesday evening where he told constituents that he is concerned with proposed cuts in tax deductions in the legislation.
“I haven’t yet decided how I am going to vote on this because I am primarily concerned about how it is going to affect our state and the state and local tax deduction. It’s still a big issue in my mind.”
Faso is a member of the Republican majority in the House. Minority Democrats say the measure will seriously impact residents in New York and other high-tax states in the nation.
The vote may come as early as Thursday or Friday.
