Bronx man arrested with gun stolen from Pennsylvania

NEW HAMPTON – State Police have arrested a Bronx resident after he was stopped on Route 17M in New Hampton early Sunday morning, November 5 for a vehicle and traffic violation.
Police determined the driver, Adam Heholt, 36, had been smoking marijuana before being stopped. Investigation led to the discovery of a loaded .45 caliber pistol and a quantity of marijuana.  The pistol was previously reported stolen in Pennsylvania. 
Heholt was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal possession of a firearm, as felonies, and a violation of unlawful possession of marijuana.  He was sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or bond.
