MIDDLETOWN – You know
Christmas is right around the corner when the city Christmas tree is on
its way.

The 25 to 30 foot tree has been donated by Lance Weeden of the Town of
Wallkill.

John Tresch of JHM Tree Service will cut it down at 8 a.m. on Wednesday
and erect it at Festival Square at about 9:30.

The Middletown Police Department will escort Regional Trucking as the
company transports it from Robin Drive in Wallkill to the city.

Harry Rotolo and Sons, Inc. and members of the International Brotherhood
of Electrical Workers Local 363, will decorate the tree with lights on
Saturday, November 18.

A tree lighting ceremony will be held on Friday evening, November 24 preceded
by the Christmas parade complete with Santa, who will throw the switch
to light the tree.
