WAPPINGER – One student was killed late Wednesday afternoon when
the car in which he was riding rolled over and struck a tree off Old Hopewell
Road west of Cayuga Drive in the Town of Wappinger, State Police said.
Four students were riding in a pickup truck around 5:56 p.m. when accident
occurred
One passenger was ejected and transported to Vassar Brothers Medical Center, in Poughkeepsie where he was pronounced dead. Police did not release his name.
Three other teens, said to be two boys and a girl, were injured and taken to MidHudson Regional Hospital, also in Poughkeepsie.
They are reported to be students Roy C. Ketcham High School.
