Driver rams into rear of disabled vehicle; results in chain reaction crash

FALLSBURG – A 66-year-old
Woodridge man has been arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated
after he struck the rear of a disabled vehicle that was being loaded on
a tow truck.

Town of Fallsburg Police said Anthony Pecorella was driving a Lincoln
SUV on Glen Wild Road in Fallsburg and failed to move over as he approached
a tow truck with its overhead yellow caution lights on, which was loaded
a disabled vehicle from the shoulder of the roadway.
Pecorella’s vehicle struck the rear of the disabled vehicle causing
it to hit the tow truck, which struck another vehicle.

Police charged Pecorella with DWI for driving with a blood alcohol content
over .08 percent.

He was released to reappear in town court at a later date.
