LOCH SHELDRAKE – A volunteer firefighter from Liberty has died in what officials are calling a line of duty death.
Ronald Hinkle, 71, who was a member of the Loch Sheldrake Fire Company, died on Tuesday after returning home from responding to an auto accident, officials said.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 21 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, Route 52 in Woodbourne. A firematic funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, October 22 at the funeral home. Burial with full military honors will follow at Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery in Liberty.
