Hudson Valley educators join New York State Master Teacher Program

ALBANY – Eleven educators from three Hudson Valley counties have been selected to join the New York State Master Teacher Program.
Those teachers are dedicated professionals who teach science, technology, engineering, and math courses including advanced placement, honors, Regents and International Baccalaureate levels.
The Master Teachers in the Hudson Valley are hosted at SUNY New Paltz.
Named Master Teachers are:

Colette Alonge-Watz, Millbrook Central School District
Jennifer Belfiore, Greenburgh Central School District
Erica Castellano, Scarsdale Union Free School District
David Czechowski, Hyde Park Central School District
Carolyn Dorritie, Port Jervis City School District
Patricia Glancey, Wappingers Central School District
Steven Hertzog, Arlington Central School District
Li Li, Port Chester-Rye Union Free School District
Kathleen Murphy, North Salem Central School District
Kathryn Whittaker, Red Hook Central School District
Alan Zollner, Hendrick Hudson Central School District

All Master Teachers are active beyond their classrooms, serving as curriculum department leaders or on district committees. They are also sponsors of STEM clubs, Science Olympiad competitions and robotic teams, and school community service organizations as well as coaches, school gardeners, and PTA members.
