KINGSTON – The Ulster County Legislature Tuesday night approved over $1 million in bonding for two road projects.
One of them will enhance safety for many New Paltz High School Students, said legislature Chairman Kenneth Ronk.
“This is a really special project to widen the shoulders on South Putt Corners Road to connect the high school to the sidewalks in the village,” Ronk said.  “I really think this is going to make a safer road for a lot of students.”
The legislature approved an additional bonding of over $635,000 for part of the county share of that project.
The other project is reconstruction and re-stabilization of Watson Hollow Road.  The legislature approved up to a maximum of $412,000 in bonding.
