KINGSTON – Two inmates
incarcerated in the Ulster County Jail have been charged with misdemeanor
criminal possession of stolen property in connection with the April theft
of bluestone from sidewalks in the area of West Chestnut Street in Kingston.

Erik Fehring, 30, and William Williams, 58, who are in jail for previous
cases, were charged following investigation into the sidewalk thefts.
Deputies said Fehring was developed as a suspect and Kingston City Police
discovered Fehring and Williams sold the bluestone to a pawn shop in the
Kerhonkson area shortly after the thefts. Police located and recovered
the stone after it was resold to a third party.
