SAUGERTIES – The Saugerties
Resource Officer arrested an 18-year-old woman on a misdemeanor charge
of endangering the welfare of a child and the violation of unlawful possession
of marijuana.
Savannah Herdman was observed by the SRO smoking marijuana while sitting
behind the wheel of her car parked in the student parking lot at the high
school. She was also observed passing her marijuana pipe to a 15-year-old
female student who was also sitting in the car.
Also found in the car was a marijuana grinder containing marijuana.
Herdman was released don an appearance ticket returnable to town court.
The 15-year-old was turned over to her parents.
