ELLENVILLE – Following a report of a person walking near the Ellenville schools with a rifle at around 10:30 Wednesday morning, school officials notified Ellenville Police, who investigated and shortly after 12 p.m., the lockout was lifted and the incident was resolved, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Out of an abundance of caution, the police requested that all buildings
on campus be placed on a lockout while they investigated.  During
a lockout no one was allowed to enter or exit campus buildings.
