Two area reps named chairs of Assembly committees

ALBANY – State Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie named two fellow Democrats from the Hudson Valley chair standing committees.
Amy Paulin of Westchester County was named chairwoman of the Commission on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions, and Didi Barrett of Columbia and Dutchess counties was named chairwoman of the Libraries & Education Technology Committee.
The Democratic caucus holds an overwhelming majority in the Assembly.
