POUGHKEEPSIE – City Police in Poughkeepsie arrested a local man on charges of rape and prostitution, both as felonies. Jeremy Davis, 24, was charged after an underage girl turned herself into Poughkeepsie Police as having run away from a juvenile facility in Hawthorne three months ago.
The girl told detectives she had been the victim of a sexual assault and possible sex trafficking.
Davis was arrested after police executed a search warrant at apartment 11E Charles Street Housing.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding what happened to the girl over the past three months is continuing. Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Poughkeepsie City Police at 845-451-7577.
