GOSHEN – With recent attacks on European cities and North Korea’s threats against the United States, Orange County Sheriff Carl DuBois, a member of the regional terrorism task force, said police are perpetually vigilant.
DuBois said law enforcement must always be attentive.
“Despite what is going on in the world, North Korea in particular, they have never really been known as a terrorist organization,” DuBois said. “Obviously they are putting all of their scientific knowledge and all of their technology into missiles and bombs; we are always on our guard checking train stations and malls. You can’t be complacent and let your guard down. You always have to be ready for the unexpected.”
As the war of words continues to heat up between President Trump and the North Korean leader, national security interests are on their guard at all times.
