WHITE PLAINS – The Conservative Committee’s Ninth Judicial District convention endorsed Republican Supreme Court Justice candidate Linda Murray.  She faces Democrat Christi Acker in November.
Murray, who began with the Queens County District Attorney’s Office, said running for Supreme Court is the next natural progression in her career.
“I prosecuted violent felony offenses for seven years. I was in the courtroom for seven years before New York State Supreme Court judges,” Murray said. “I did thousands of grand jury presentments; hundreds of suppression hearings before Supreme Court judges.”.
Currently, Murray is the City of Poughkeepsie associate court attorney.
Acker is a Pine Plains town justice and Principal Court Attorney to County Court/Acting Supreme Court Justice James Rooney.
