SAUGERTIES – A 69-year-old
Willow woman has been charged with trespass after she returned to St.
John’s the Evangelist Church in Saugerties after she was removed
from the church several times last month at the request of the pastor.
Saugerties Police said Laura Duffy was previously warned that if her course
of conduct continued and she returned to the church, she would be arrested.
Police said she intentionally returned to the church in order to annoy
and harass the pastor.
She was arrested on September 20 and released on an appearance ticket
returned to Town of Saugerties Court.
