Middletown man stabbed, suspect sought

MIDDLETOWN – City Police in Middletown continue to investigate
a stabbing that occurred Thursday evening in which a 22-year-old man was
assaulted.
Police said a fight occurred in the area of Fairlawn Avenue and Wisner
Avenue around 7:43 p.m.

The victim, later identified as Korei Mason-Briggs of Middletown, was
stabbed once in the chest with a knife. Officers provided immediate care
and he was transported to Orange Regional Medical Center in Wallkill by
Mobile Life Support Services where he underwent surgery and was listed
in stable condition.

City and State Police are searching for the assailant who was a known
associate of the victim.
