STEWART ANG – Air National
Guardsmen from the 105th Airlift Wing at Stewart Airport have been deployed
in response to Hurricane Irma relief.

Personnel deployed a satellite communications system with a team of seven
aboard a C-17 cargo aircraft. The mission to Mississippi on Sunday is
part of the Irma response and support to the Florida National Guard.

The Joint Incident Site Communications Capability allows the airmen to
rapidly set up Internet, voice over IP and other communications capabilities
during natural and manmade disasters.

In recent days, the 105th AW flew missions in support of Hurricane Harvey
in Texas.
