Man charged with killing family dog

LIVINGSTON – State Police arrested a Germantown man for allegedly shooting a family dog repeated with a pellet gun, causing its death.
Police were called to the area of Church Avenue in the Town of Germantown on Wednesday, September 6 where they found the pit bull dead.
A necropsy conducted at the Round Top Animal Hospital in Germantown determined the cause of death to be several pellet wounds.
On September 7, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation at the Livingston barracks arrested Michael Jennings, 23, and charged him with aggravated cruelty to animals as a felony.
