Wawarsing wins federal feasibility grant

WASHINGTON – The Town of Wawarsing will receive $25,000 in federal funding to conduct a feasibility study of a parcel of land known as Colony Farm to return back into usable land for future local businesses.
The grant comes from the USDA’s Rural Business Development Grant program.
US Senator Charles Schumer, who announced the grant, said the “federal investment is great news for the Town of Wawarsing” as it will enable it to conduct a feasibility study that will make the land usable for future commerce.
