Red Hook man charged with sexual assaults on children

POUGHKEEPSIE – The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office has arrested
a Red Hook man following an investigation into sexual assaults involving
two children.

During the last several months, Tashawn Miles, 26, was employed as a rehabilitation
specialist for an organization that provides support services for adolescent
with developmental disabilities and in the course of that employment would
visit the homes of people assigned to him.

Miles is accused of sexually assaulting two early-teenage boys while conducting
visits. One of the victims has developmental disabilities; the other does
not. One of the assaults occurred in the Town of Clinton and the other
in Red Hook.

Miles was arrested on Wednesday, September 6 and has been charged with
predatory sexual assault against a child in the Town of Clinton as well
as criminal sexual act in the Village of Red Hook, both as felonies.
He was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.

The investigation is continuing and anyone with information about those
cases or similar incidents involving Miles is asked to call the sheriff’s
