CITY OF HUDSON – A Hillsdale man is in the Columbia County Jail
without bail on felony charges of burglary and grand larceny for allegedly
breaking into a City of Hudson resident’s Warren Street home and
stealing $3,400 in cash from an open safe.

The victim reported on August 19 that his apartment had been broken into
before he came home from work.
Michael Planthaber, 32, is alleged to have smashed in the front apartment door window to gain access to the apartment.
“This was super work by our detectives, who gathered leads and conducted productive interviews,” Police Chief Edward Moore said. “I believe we have prepared a very good case for the prosecution.”
