NEW ORLEANS – The woman, who remained on the run after her boyfriend was arrested days ago, has been arrested in the New Orleans area.
Mikayla Stilwell, 22, and Jarret Heitmann, 25, were wanted on charges of attempted murder.
Shortly after the two allegedly shot a man in Tennessee last June, they were spotted in Crawford and Bloomingburg, New York and nearby Westfall Township, Pennsylvania, sparking an intense manhunt in the region.
After the alleged shooting, the pair was placed on the Tennessee Top 10 Most Wanted fugitives list.
Heitmann was arrested on August 31 following a shoplifting incident. Stilwell was arrested by the US Marshal Service on Sunday night, September 3.
