Police on the scene in May

MIDDLETOWN – After four months of testing, authorities have determined
the remains of a man found in a wooded area behind 225 Dolsen Avenue in
the City of Middletown have been identified.

Middletown Police said the man, Stephen Skok, 73, was identified from
DNA profile as a Middletown resident with a former address on Liberty
Street.

Skok’s family has been contacted and advised of the findings.

The exact cause of death remains undetermined, but appears to have been
an underlying natural cause, authorities said.

Skok’s body was found in an abandoned camper at that location.
