NEW WINDSOR – A nine-year-old girl was injured in a fall from a zipline ride at New Windsor Community Day Saturday evening. The girl apparently fell about 20 feet to the ground.
It is believed an employee of the company that operates the ride did not attach the harness to the zipline.
New Windsor Ambulance Corps attended to the child and transported her via ambulance to Westchester Medical Center where she was treated and admitted for a broken leg.
The New Windsor Police Detective Division is investigating the accident. If anyone has information please contact them at 845-565-7000
